The “UN Sustainable Development Summit” was held at the UN headquarters in New York on September 25-27, 2015, and the leaders from over 150 member states adopted "Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development" as an outcome document.
The agenda represents the action plan for achieving the prosperity of people and the earth, specified by 169 targets in 17 goals, collectively called the “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).” These SDGs set out the “ideal condition” of the world by 2030.
